Custom Skids are used for generally heavy industrial items may not need crating, but need to be protected from rough handling that occurs during the shipping process. They also keep the items off the ground and offer protection from any pieces or lines protruding to the bottom of the equipment. In most cases custom skidding can make must items forklift-able.
All lumber used at our facilities are guaranteed ISPM-15 compliant and stamped accordingly. Any lumber that is not compliant is immediately recycled or removed.
There is no limit to the benefits of skidding most items, whether you are moving machinery to an upgraded facility or across the country, it is much easier to handle by forklift and tie down to flatbeds or enclosed trailers.
